The quality of Pastway Planing treated wood begins with the lumber we purchase and prepare for pressure treatment.
Our 2″ lumber meets or exceeds the strength and durability of construction grade. In many cases, products are specially milled for our treated wood program. Before pressure treatment, the lumber is visually graded for superior appearance. Our lumber grading rules limit the type and number of blemishes in each bundle of wood we produce.
DECKING
By starting with our very best-looking wood and milling it with radius edges and a smoother surface, we can offer a choice of 2×6 or 5/4×6 decking that are consistently better looking. Pastway 2” preserved wood is available in most popular widths and lengths to 24 feet, with longer lengths available by special order. 5/4×6 decking is available in lengths from 8 to 20 feet.
Pastway Ultimate Decking starts with Premium KD Pine. Our 5/4×6 decking, moulded with a decorative radius edge, offers a great look for a great value. Our 2×6 decking also features a decorative radius edge in a thicker, sturdier board. Decking is re-graded before treating to ensure and maintain quality control standards.
SQUARES AND TIMBERS
Pastway Planing leads the Ontario market as a producer of pressure treated Red Pine timbers. Our squares and timbers are milled from locally sourced FSC® certified Red Pine. Rough-sawn timbers are seasoned and air-dried for optimum treatability before planing. The decorative eased edges of our 4×4, 5×5, and 6×6 squares complement the radius edge of our deck boards and give a consistently finished look to outdoor projects.
We stock a standing inventory of 4×4, 4×6, 6×6, 6×8, and 8×8 up to 24 feet in both treated and untreated. Larger sizes and longer lengths are available by special order. Click here for a list of products, lengths and sizes.
